Here at The Wharf, we absolutely love the water and the excitement that it brings us and all of our guests. Being a commercial operation we have adopted a huge responsibility not only for ourselves, our guests, and many others that enjoy this natural element, but the long term impact we leave.
We continuously look for ways to minimize our impact through systems and upgrades on a yearly basis. Here are a few of the systems that we have implemented already.
To help minimize our impact on the local waterway while maintaining our level of quality with the cleanliness, we built a custom water management system that pulls water directly from the lake to clean our vessels. This helps reduce water contamination immensely by any outside influences.
We have upgraded all of our systems to eliminate the unnecessary waste of paper. This also eliminates any risk of paper going into our waterways. From reservations, checking in, signing waivers and scanning for damage, the entire process is done digitally.
We have decided to fully embrace the paperless mentality and eliminate our paper brochures for the 2023 season and forward. We will adopt QR codes on marketing material that can be re-used for several years.
We strive to have the newest equipment. Not only for our guests experience, but to get the most efficient and environmental safe technology. Currently 4 strokes are the most economical.
- Electric Motors
Currently the logistics of an electric engine do not meet the demand required from our guests. Every year we connect with manufactures to see what their technology has achieved.
